When this Feature Makes Sense
There are several use cases where an enterprise or MSSP could make use of Stellar Cyber Central:
- Data Sovereignty for multinational organizations, which want to keep the data local to each country due to rules and regulations
- Scalability for companies with multiple sites or data centers where they would like to maintain the data on each site or data center for performance and latency
- Co-managed services where enterprises want to keep their data local to their organizations with a local instance while allowing the MSSPs/MDRs to manage the instance remotely.
Stellar Cyber Central makes these use cases easier to cover for enterprises and MSSPs.
How it Works
To use this feature, you first will configure one DP as a Stellar Cyber Central. You can then associate the other regional DPs with the Central DP. To be cost-effective for your deployment, the Stellar Cyber Central DP can remain an active regional DP, providing all detection, analysis, and remediation features you expect for that region. But now, it allows you to access the other regional DPs, becoming a single center for all your analysis and administration. In addition, Stellar Cyber Central begins synchronizing alerts with a regional DP immediately, working in parallel for both the newest and oldest alerts in the database, so both interfaces are synchronized.
Analysts can click “Go to Local Deployment” from this summary screen and get direct access to the incident details without logging in again. It’s also worth noting communication between the Central DP and regional deployments is encrypted and single sign-on (SSO) provides seamless access to the regional DPs for users configured in the Central DP.
That is just a small taste of what Stellar Cyber Central can do for you. For a closer look at this feature, set up a private demonstration. If you are unfamiliar with the Stellar Cyber Open XDR Platform and how we help MSSPs grow their business check out this five-minute product tour.
